Harriet and the Children's Story

Harriet had promised Henry and Mary they could help shell the peas for supper, but so far they're more interested in watching than working. Thomas had intended to help too, but the warm porch and the long afternoon had gotten the better of him.

The tomatoes were a gift from their neighbor Beatrice, dropped off earlier that morning from her garden. By the time Harriet finishes the peas, she suspects she might have another sleepy bunny or two to carry inside.
