About Me
Raised in Napa, California, I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2011 to attend law school at the University of Michigan. After graduating and passing the bar, I practiced law for a few years, but deep down I knew it wasn’t where my heart truly belonged.
Art has been my greatest passion since childhood, the one thing I’ve always wanted to do for a living. I returned to school and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University in 2019. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work full-time as a professional artist, doing what I love every day.
I paint whimsical animal portraits in acrylic, blending vibrant color with storytelling to create characters that feel real, familiar, and full of heart. Each animal is dressed in human clothing and paired with a printed “birth certificate” that includes their name and personality. It's a playful nod to how much we see ourselves in the animals we love.
These portraits aren’t just about likeness; they’re about spirit. Whether it’s a cat in a cardigan or a dog who thinks he’s a secret superhero, every painting is rooted in joy, imagination, and a deep affection for animals. My goal is to make people smile, laugh, and feel a connection: to their own pets, to childhood memories, or simply to something delightfully unexpected.
Every original painting also helps real animals in need; 10% of each painting purchase is donated to the ASPCA and local animal shelters. At a time when life can feel rushed or overwhelming, I hope my work invites you to pause, feel a spark of delight, and maybe see the world a little more playfully.
