About Me

Born and raised in Napa, California, I moved to Ann Arbor a decade ago to attend law school at University of Michigan. I practiced law for a few years, but my heart wasn't in it.

So I went back to school to do what I have loved since childhood--creating art. I graduated magna cum laude with a fine arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2019 and have been working as a full-time professional artist since then.

My newest body of work revolves around painting glass, water, and other reflective subjects. It’s all about capturing the interplay between complexity and simplicity.

From a distance, these new paintings appear intricate, but as you get closer and focus on the individual areas, you'll see a simplicity and clarity in the shapes. I find this is similar to life's problems which often seem overwhelming at the outset, but become clearer and more manageable when broken down into discrete, actionable steps.

My hope is when my artwork is hanging on your wall, it will serve as a visual reminder to slow down, be mindful, and take life one step at a time.
