Pip at Pictured Rocks
Pip’s family calls him the “bravest mouse in Michigan,” but he insists he’s just curious. He’s been exploring Pictured Rocks all morning, sketchbook in his pack, stopping every so often to admire the turquoise water below.
When his sister calls his name, he turns, grinning, as she snaps a photo. Pip straightens his vest and hopes he looks properly adventurous. Later, when they’re back at camp, he’ll look at the picture and remember the sound of birds, the smell of pine, and how big the world felt from up there.
